Submit a WhatsApp template

/api/v1/accounts/:account_id/inboxes/:inbox_id/whatsapp_templates

Creates the template at Meta and answers with what Meta returned, including the review status — a new template is not sendable until it is approved.

This one calls Meta inline rather than queuing, because Meta's validation error is the answer the form needs. Expect it to take as long as the round trip does.

components is Meta's own nested structure and is passed through untouched. Pass library_template_name to start from one of Meta's prewritten templates instead of authoring the components yourself.

Restricted to WhatsApp Cloud inboxes: 360dialog keeps its templates behind a different API and WAHA has none at all, so anything else answers 400.
